Environment Education in Schools - Lunkad Vidyalaya

Forengers, in collaboration with TAST, conducted an environmental education session at Lunkad Vidyalaya, Pune. This was part of the annual education programs conducted across schools to build awareness and imbibe nature connected lifestyles among children from a very young age. 

Key Objectives Of The Session and Overall Program
 - Create awareness about responsible waste management.
 - Encourage reducing, reusing, recycling, and waste segregation.
 - Explain harmful environmental effects of landfills.
 - Help students understand the impact of everyday choices.
 - Inspire responsible habits for a cleaner, healthier, and sustainable future.

The session educated students about sustainable practices and environmentally responsible choices. Key areas covered included
 - Using reusable steel tiffins and bottles to reduce plastic waste and exposure to microplastics.
 - Understanding the harmful environmental impact of landfills
 - Practising waste reduction and proper segregation.
 - Participating in a paper bag-making activity to explore sustainable alternatives.

Through this initiative, students were encouraged to adopt responsible everyday habits and contribute to a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable future.
